	J.C. Kelly Elementary Receives Money Donation A group of students from The University of Texas Pan American donated 380 dollars to J.C. Kelly Elementary after working on a project for their class.
	21st Century Afterschool Program Cancelled Due to the severe thunderstorm watch the 21st Century Afterschool Program, Elementary to High School, has been cancelled for today Monday, April 16, 2012. Please be sure to pick up your child at the designated time for release.
	1st Annual RGV Rumble Cheer & Dance Competition Saturday, May 19 at Hidalgo Early College High School Bill Pate Stadium Deadline is April 27th.
	Congratulations Fine Art Departments Hidalgo ISD would like to congratulate the Ida Diaz Jr. High Gold Band, Hidalgo Indoor Percussion Ensemble, Mariachi “Nuevas Raices” and the HECHS Indoor Color Guard for their achievements during their competitions.
	STAAR Testing Begins Next Week A new testing journey begins with the launch of the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness or STAAR in the 2011–2012 school year. The testing program includes tests for students in grades 3–12.
