Mission
The Hidago ISD Library Services Department aims to create a warm and inclusive environment where students, educators, and staff can freely explore a wide range of library resources in various formats. To enhance student success, our libraries provide the opportunity for all to access and utilize literature, information, and technology. Our librarians work effortlessly to curate a well-rounded collection of both printed and digital materials to foster and cultivate a lifelong passion for reading.
Goals
The Hidalgo ISD Library Services Department will equip students for higher education and future careers, while maximizing the utilization of library resources and nurturing research skills and critical thinking. By collaborating closely with school staff, we strive to elevate student achievement by aligning library resources with the district's curriculum and ensuring their relevance and effectiveness. Additionally, we are dedicated to guiding students in responsibly engaging with digital intellectual property, making informed online decisions, and cultivating positive digital citizenship.
